The anatomy of the brain, explained in a series of engravings by Charles Bell.

Rebecca Wynter

Historian. Researcher. Consultant. Writer. Editor. Curator.

I’m a historian of medicine and mental health between 1770 and the present day. A versatile researcher, writer and editor, my areas of expertise centre on first responders, the First World War, and on lived and living experience in the history of psychiatry, psychology, custodial and health institutions, mental illness, disability, and injury. I’ve worked extensively with museums, developing and co-curating exhibitions, and with Quaker and community-based groups on public history projects.
